update

assalamu'alaikum.

apa khabar semua? hmm, tak tahu ada orang baca lagi atau tak blog ni. tapi follower macam makin bertambah he he.

kebelakangan ini, hidup kami(baca: abang-abang gombak yang dah semester2) agak sibuk jugalah dengan assignment, workshop dan lab report yang ibarat membuka paip air tapi tak tutup2. ada je :) mungkin tu yang buat engin best (?)

ok first thing first, syed syahmi, selaku bekas biro tarbiah IQra uiapj ada mengatakan bahawa tak lama lagi, berbondong-bondong rakan2 gen9 dQ-uiam akan masuk ke main campus. so tahniah in advance.
---> main campus tak banyak beza dengan masa matrik sebenarnya, kecuali dia besar dan kita lebih bebas. idk.

benda keduanya ialah... kenapa yahoogroups sudah tak aktif? [sebab pernah aktif ke?] tak, tu tak jadi masalah sebab banin ada group dekat facebook. syed buat private so sape2 banin yang tak join lagi, boleh lah berbuat demikian.

cerita paling akhir bagi post ini, tetapi paling penting, saya nak mewakili budak dQ mengucapkan selamat pengantin baru buat syafiq rushdi. semoga bahagia dunia akhirat. ameen. (fyi, dia ni bekas batch kita. and fyi too, dia kahwin tahun lepas).

Berusahalah engkau menjadi seorang yang mempelajari ilmu fiqih dan juga menjalani tasawuf, dan janganlah kau hanya mengambil salah satunya.


Sesungguhnya demi Allah saya benar-benar ingin memberikan nasehat padamu.

Orang yang hanya mempelajari ilmu fiqih tapi tidak mahu menjalani tasawuf, maka hatinya tidak dapat merasakan kelazatan takwa. Sedangkan orang yang hanya menjalani tasawuf tapi tidak mahu mempelajari ilmu fiqih, maka bagaimana bisa dia menjadi baik?

Recently I read an article about human greatest invention. I found that one of the greatest invention is the electric light (read the reference here). Well, it is true that the electric light has changed human life tremendously. Before it, we need to burn oil to produce light, but now, we can produce light by just with the flick of hand. However, some of you might not know the history of the light bulb invention. It was invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879 through thousands of experiments.

Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847. Born as a genius, Edison was despised by all his siblings. His curious question always deemed as stupid by his friends, and even by his parents. He loves to do experiments. He even did an experiment on a train where he work part-time, and he even burn the train. But all of these, never stop his passion to do experiment. Those hardwork is not gone for nothing. He got his first patent on telegraph, and the world started to realize that indeed, Edison is a smart guy.

When he started his experiment on electric light, once again, the people mock at him. Many people said that it is impossible for him to do it. But once again, he ignores all the negative thought, and keep on keeping on. The research wasn’t easy. Even his research team got discouraged and suggested to stop the experiment. Edison always answer them, we have not failed. We only found 10,000 ways that do not work. In the end of the day, Edison is right, he succeed to make the first electric light. The world marveled at his work. Lesson number one: perseverance is the key to success.

In 1876, he moved his research lab to Menlo Park, where he had dreamed since he was a child. Eventhough he already owns what a researcher should be happy of, he keep on improving his work. Lesson number two: don’t be complacent of what you have achieved. Always have the spirit of excellence.

His life after the shifting to Menlo Park was not easy at all. Several accident happened to him, and in 1878, he breathed his last breath. Only enjoying 2 years of his dreamland. Lesson number three: everything does not go as what you like. Be realistic and always live your life to the fullest whatever might happened.

Guys, sometimes we are just like Edison. We can not show our fullest potential because of our environment, because our friends around us always despised us. I believe that everyone of us are a genius in our own field. Some of you might be a genius in dancing, but your friends might mock you that your skill are useless. Guys, never let the negative impact affect you. You should make those negative comments about you as a motivation for you, as a milestone for you to step to higher level. Be persevere in every problems that you face, and have a good success!!!
